Residential Garden Renovation – Kifisia
Kifisia | Completion: 2024
The design focused on creating a functional, layered garden, combining permeable surfaces, clear circulation paths and a rich, diverse planting composition.
New paved areas and permeable walkways were installed throughout the garden, allowing smooth circulation while supporting effective rainwater management.
At the entrance of the residence, a small Japanese garden was created, featuring a Japanese maple as the focal point. Soleirolia was used as groundcover between the paving stones, enhancing the natural character and fine detailing of the space.
Along the side entrance, where shading conditions are dominant, shade-tolerant plants such as hydrangeas and gardenias were selected, ensuring healthy growth and strong visual presence in low-light areas.
To enhance privacy from neighbouring properties and introduce strong seasonal colour, Ginkgo biloba and Liquidambar were planted, offering striking foliage changes throughout the year.
In the main garden area, a circulation path with a small seating zone was formed using permeable gravel surfaces, providing a calm resting point within the planting.
The planting palette combines Mediterranean species, ornamental grasses, deciduous and evergreen plants, creating a dynamic green canvas with year-round interest.
To support optimal plant performance, the garden was equipped with:
This setup ensures efficient irrigation, precise nutrient delivery and optimized water consumption.
