This project involved the landscape and planting design of the ground floor interior spaces and terraces of Mitsis N’U Piraeus Port Hotel, focusing on atmosphere creation, privacy enhancement and seamless integration of greenery within hospitality areas.

At the ground floor bar area, where a covered pergola structure is present, indoor plant species were selected to create the feeling of a tropical environment.
Planting was integrated into two large built-in planters, forming part of the bar structure itself and enhancing the spatial experience, as illustrated in the completed project photographs.
At the entrance and terrace planters, planting was designed to provide visual privacy for guests seated near the street side.
Planters were filled with ERSM – Ecoverti Roof Substrate Mix, ensuring proper plant development and long-term performance.
The planting palette includes Elaeagnus × ebbingei, a species well suited to shaded and low-light conditions, offering dense foliage and effective green screening.
Irrigation is managed through a simple battery-operated irrigation system, tailored to the requirements of planters and containerised planting.
