In Ntrafi, near Penteli, ECOVERTI carried out the installation of a permeable pavement surface within a garden area, with the main objective of improving ease of circulation and making the space more comfortable to use, especially in a location where uneven ground conditions had created functional challenges.

For the permeable pavement application, ceramic aggregate by KAPPADOM was used, providing a solution that combines functionality, natural aesthetics and environmental performance. The choice of material contributed both to the stability and overall appearance of the surface, while also helping the intervention blend harmoniously with the character of the garden.

The use of permeable paving provided a practical solution for the everyday use of the space, improving accessibility and surface stability while also incorporating the key environmental benefits of a permeable construction system. Natural water infiltration into the ground helps reduce surface runoff, limit standing water and support groundwater recharge, resulting in a more sustainable and environmentally responsible outdoor design.

At the same time, the project went beyond the functional upgrade of the surface itself. The intervention was combined with new planting works and an overall aesthetic enhancement of the garden, creating a more vibrant and carefully composed landscape. As part of this concept, a Japanese garden-inspired corner was introduced, with calm geometry, balanced planting and a peaceful character, while trees were integrated within the permeable paved area to strengthen the natural feel and overall visual appeal of the space.

The final result combines functionality, ecological value and aesthetic quality. This project in Ntrafi  is another example of ECOVERTI’s approach, where outdoor technical solutions are not treated as isolated interventions, but as part of a complete spatial experience focused on comfort, sustainability and the long-term value of the landscape.
